Revolutions - 公转:A celestial body moving around another celestial body.
Revolution length - 公转长度:The time of revolution.
Orbit - 轨道:The path that one celestial body in its revolution.
Ellipse - 椭圆:An oval.
Axis tilt - 轴倾角:The angle of planet is change.
Direct sunlight - 直射阳光:The sunlight coming on a straight way.
Indirect sunlight - 间接阳光:The sunlight coming through something, or the less of sunlight.
Hemisphere - 半球:Half of planet.
Equator - 赤道:The line that divide the hemisphere, it is always summer.
Summary:
Seasons is mean the four
different weathers alternating change of the year that is spring, summer,
autumn (fall), and winter. It affects a lot of things in the Earth's environment. For example, bear and snake will sleep
at winter. The cause of seasons is Earth’s axis tilt by 23.5 degree and
revolution. An axis is an imaginary line that goes through the center of the
Earth. The axis tilt is the angle of this line is change. Revolution is a
celestial body (planet) moving around another celestial body. Seasons cause the
weather change and the day length and night length at each season. When there
is summer, day length will be longer than night length. When there is winter,
night length will be longer than day length.
Solstice is the first day of summer or winter. Summer
solstices is the first day of summer, this day are the longest daytime of the
year. It occurs on June 21 in the northern hemisphere, December 22 in the
southern hemisphere. Summer is warmer than winter, because sunlight is direct
hit on the hemisphere. Direct sunlight is the sunlight coming on straight way.
Winter solstices is the first day of winter, this day are the longest nighttime
of the year. It occurs on December 22 in the northern hemisphere, June 21 in
the southern hemisphere. Winter is colder than summer because the hemisphere is
indirect sunlight. Indirect sunlight is the sunlight coming tilt or the less of
sunlight.
Equinox is the first day of spring and fall, day and
night are same length, it only occur two times of the year. Spring equinoxes is
the first day of spring, it is the start of the period of longer daytime. It occurs
on March 21 in the northern hemisphere, September 22 in the southern
hemisphere. Fall equinox is the first day of the fall. It is the start of the
period of longer nighttime. It occurs on September 22 in the northern
hemisphere, March 21 in the southern hemisphere.
The orbit of Earth’s revolution is ellipse. When the
Earth at a different location of orbit, each hemisphere on Earth will get
different sunlight, so there will be seasons of change. The change of four
seasons is not unified around the world, when northern hemisphere is summer,
southern hemisphere is winter, it’s mean when a hemisphere turn to hot, another
hemisphere will turn to cold. Hemisphere is the half of planet. The Earth’s
axis tilt to 23.5 degree, so direct sunlight only can hit on one hemisphere.
Equator is an imaginary line through the middle of the Earth, it make Earth
been northern hemisphere and southern hemisphere, and it is always summer,
because it always get direct sunlight.

Critical Thinking Question:
How is earth affected by movement (revolution)?
Seasons is changing because of earth's revolution and rotation, it make spring, summer, fall, and winter. The cause of seasons is earth's axis tilt by 23.5 degree. When earth is tilted to 23.5 degree and revolution, the northern hemisphere or the southern hemisphere will get direct sunlight, and another hemisphere will get indirect sunlight. When a hemisphere get direct sunlight, it will be summer, and the hemisphere with indirect sunlight will be winter. Equator is always summer, because it is on the middle and always get direct sunlight.
Reflection:
1.What did you enjoy most about this project and why?
I am enjoy most about to write the essay, because I can know what I learn from this project.
2.What was most challenging for you during this project and why?
I think write the essay is the most challenging thing for me, because I need to collect all knowledge I know about seasons and organization.
3.What new skills did you learn from doing this project?
I learn why is seasons changing, and many things I didn't know before, such as hemispheres and axis tilt.
4.Is there anything that you could have done to improve any of your work? Explain.
Yes, I should make a plan of my jobs, because I do things slowly, I need to know what should I need to do today, what can I do tomorrow.
